Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Trader Shaper handles personal data when you visit the website, use the app, create an account, complete lessons, use simulated trading tools, subscribe, or contact support.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, user ID, account type, authentication state, and preferred language.
• Learning data: lesson starts, lesson completions, scores, attempts, time spent, skill progress, review scheduling, XP, streaks, feed interactions, and preferences.
• Simulation data: chart selections, price lines, simulated trade actions, order parameters, take-profit and stop-loss practice data, and related validation events.
• Subscription data: subscription status, Lemon Squeezy customer ID, subscription ID, order ID, product and variant IDs, card brand and last four digits where provided by Lemon Squeezy, renewal dates, cancellation dates, and customer portal URLs.
• Technical data: device and browser details, IP-derived approximate location, logs, errors, performance data, cookies, localStorage identifiers, consent preferences, analytics events where analytics consent is granted, and feature flag state.
• Support data: messages, issue descriptions, order references, account details, and other information you provide when contacting support.

3. How we use data

• Provide authentication, accounts, guest access, and registered user access.
• Deliver lessons, chart simulations, skill maps, feed recommendations, progress tracking, review scheduling, and premium access.
• Process subscriptions, sync subscription state, prevent fraud, and respond to billing requests.
• Improve the app, debug issues, measure performance, test feature flags, and understand product usage.
• Protect the service, enforce Terms, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Respond to support, refund, account, and privacy requests.

4. Service providers

Trader Shaper uses third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy practices where applicable.

• Supabase: authentication, database, user profiles, lessons, progress, subscription records, and storage.
• Lemon Squeezy: checkout, payments, taxes, subscription billing, customer portal, refunds, chargebacks, and merchant of record functions.
• PostHog: product analytics, event tracking, feature flags, session analytics, and error analytics where analytics consent is granted.
• Vercel Speed Insights: performance measurement and page speed analytics where enabled through consent-aware controls.

5. Payments

Trader Shaper does not directly store full payment card numbers. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. We may receive limited payment and subscription metadata from Lemon Squeezy so we can activate premium access, show subscription status, and support billing requests.

6. Cookies and localStorage

The app uses cookies and localStorage for authentication sessions, language selection, consent preferences, analytics where consent is granted, feature flags, onboarding state, UI preferences, and lesson progress behavior.

Some browser storage is essential for account and app functionality. Analytics storage helps improve the product and can be controlled through the consent settings button, browser settings, or supported opt-out tools where available.

7. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Trader Shaper processes personal data to perform the service contract, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, comply with legal obligations, and, where required, based on consent.

8. Data retention

Trader Shaper keeps personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account and subscription records, support users, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.

Some analytics, logs, backups, and payment records may remain for a limited period after account deletion where required for security, compliance, accounting, or dispute handling.

9. Data breach notification

If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users without undue delay where required by applicable law, and will notify the relevant supervisory authority where required.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

11. International processing

Trader Shaper and its providers may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

12. Age requirement

Trader Shaper is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact support@tradershaper.app so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
